🌱 Project Overview
The River Green Guard Project is a unique initiative to protect and rejuvenate riverbanks through the plantation of native trees and community participation. This ecological intervention will not only prevent soil erosion but also beautify the riverside, conserve biodiversity, and provide an emotional space where trees may be planted in memory of loved ones.

- ✅ Beautify Ghats & Riversides with greenery.
- ✅ Create Living Memorials by allowing people to plant trees in honor of the departed.
- ✅ Engage Community Participation in protecting local ecosystems.

Mahula Saswan Ghat, Beldanga, Murshidabad (West Bengal)
A culturally significant riverside, now to be transformed into an ecological and emotional sanctuary.

Focus on native and sacred species with strong root systems for erosion control:
Boxnut (Paniala)
Bokul (Mimusops elengi)
Serish (Albizia lebbeck)
Chatim (Alstonia scholaris)
Arjun (Terminalia arjuna) – Especially vital for riverbank health
